Milner + Carr Conservation, LLC provides a wide range of conservation services including documentation, analysis, condition diagnosis, testing, monitoring and treatments. The company was established on January 1, 2006 by architects John D. Milner, FAIA, Mary Werner DeNadai, FAIA and architectural conservator John Carr and is an affiliate of John Milner Architects, Inc. Our priority is to design and implement conservation programs to meet the specific needs of clients who are responsible for the stewardship of a wide variety of historic buildings, monuments and sites. The company was founded on the concept that no two conservation strategies are identical; each must respond to the particular challenges of location, material, condition and environment. The potential for funding of the conservation effort is often a critical issue, and we are in a position to advise our clients on opportunities that may exist.
Our office and conservation studio are in Philadelphia and are convenient to the metropolitan centers of New York and Washington. Our staff has first-hand working knowledge of a diverse spectrum of materials, computer software, traditional building techniques, and project management. We respect fine craftsmanship, a defining attribute for many historic buildings, monuments and sites, and strive to develop and implement individualized, sensitive and effective conservation programs for our clients.
